Swing Collective in Concert

Ranging from the swing of the 40s to the Italian classics of the post WWII period, from the atmosphere of Paris’ “bal musette” to the typical gipsy-jazz sound, with occasional raids into a more modern repertoire: a typically acoustic sound and an insisting upbeat rhythm with three female voices at its core, switching between creative improvisations and elegant arrangements.

Price is Rice: women, rice and embroidery is an installation meant to highlight textile handicrafts by the BaSe Cooperative from Bangladesh.

Photographic exhibition of Aldo Pavan
The big photographs highlight the importance of people as the main characters in Fair Trade. Camomile Karkadè, sugarcane, bananas, cocoa and coffee producers, as well as women making clothes, are portrayed. The pictures come from Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Kenya and India.

Women in Palestine – Maialino Building
Photographic exhibition by Ponte Solidale Cooperative
The pictures show the results of the Fair Trade project AOWA, an association of 1400 women that makes handmade soap in Ramallah, Hebron and Jenin, in Palestine.
